However the superior villa was perfectly adequate, clean, well furnisher and spacious and its outdoor bathroom a delight to soak in.
The highlight was the restaurant - overlooking the Tirta Gangga water gardens. We sat under the high thatched roof with a friendly hard-to-spot mega-gekko reminding us with occassional (mating?) calls that this is Bali and not paradise. Here I had the pleasure to eat the best Nasi Campur on Bali and a delicious Sate Lilith (minced fish sate with lemon grass & co). The superior caliber of the food prompted me to make an exception and to order desert:s: a crepe (pancake) filled with fresh coconut and palm sugar and Pisang Goreng (fried bananas).
Upon viewing of his intensely green crepes (compliments of pandang leaf coloring) my husband accused me of being related to Lucretia Borgia, but then proceeded to munch happily until not a coconut crumb was left.. Hard to believe that by eating simple fried bananas one can partake in a deeply sensual experience, but biting through the light and crispy bit to get the oozy, oogling banana hit my culinary G-spot right there and then .......read more

The best word to describe Tirta Ayu is overwhelming. You will find only a few rooms and villas directly within the walls of the Water Palace of Tirtagangga. All accommodations are concealed and out of direct sight. A private pool allures you to take the plunge. From the exterior itself, a certain wellness experience can be perceived of a veiled treat. I like to say Terima Kasih for the very friendly services of Mr. Budi and his colleagues on Monday afternoon 9th of May 2011. This time as was at your wonderful place with my Guests from Swiss and we ordered only Drinks. However the service was excellent and the waiters are ready to talk and even make some excellent jokes. I just feel to say Thank you and I am happy to come back again. I also would be glad if Mr. Budi tries to contact me when he is visiting his Uncle in Dalung nearby Tibubeneng where I stay.

10th of october 2010 i did get married in Candidasa and the Tirta Ayu hotel arranged the catering service. I can recommend everybody this catering service. The indonesian food inclusive Babi Guling was proffesionaly cooked and it was a taste full dinner (best i had on Bali so far). The food value was reasonable prices and the stafff was great. read more

Nach zufalliger Entdeckung dieses Hotels vor einigen Monaten und kurzer Besichtigung und Kennenlernen der Kuche haben wir dort nun drei Nachte verbracht. Bereits im Vorfeld bei Buchung auserst personlicher Service. Man brachte uns bei Ankunft gegen Mitternacht sogar unsere Lieblingsspeise (die wir nicht vorbestellt hatten) als Willkommensgrus. Wer wirklich etwas Einzigartiges, typisch balinesisches sucht, ist hier goldrichtig. In einem alten Wasserpalast gelegen, in dem es eine offentliche Badeanstalt gibt, die auch fur Hotelbesucher offen ist, ist dieses Hotel mit seinen nur wenigen Zimmern und seinem fantastischen Service einfach eine Perle. Es wird einem jeder Wunsch erfullt!

My wedding at Tirta Ayu , I bring my family and friends from all over the world to Bali for the first time.
Everybody had a magical and comfortable time.
The staffs were perfect and made everyone feel like it was a special moment.
Nothing could of been done better. Haryo the manager was a star...

Fun Staff. Helped us with languages every day. Really enjoyed the rice field valley views from the hike. All the food was great. What can we say about this place except peacefull, quite and we were very happy to stay here.

What a
surprise ! We came here expecting to find a nice accommodation for the
night and ended up in a water palace for 2 nights. The park is
beautiful, the scenery outstanding and the people very nice. It cannot
be me relaxing like this. We have to come back to try the suite ones.

Its one of the most beautiful places in Bali to be here for two/three
days .
I recommend to make a trip through the rice fields for one or two hours.
The personnel is very helpful for all questions you have. I write this
for all the questions you have. I write this for all the other persons
of my family.

Dear Staff,
We enjoyed the stay here very much. Despite we were the only guest we were
treated like royalties. Especially our old daughter ISA was treated like a
pricess. The food which was served was the best we had in Bali. The room (
villa 1) was magnificent we liked the bathroom. The views were outstanding
and the guided tour was very interesting and beautiful.
Don't change anything. Hopefully we will come back soon.
